A specially selected MI-SOUL DJ team bring with them vast experience and deep knowledge of Soul, Disco, Funk, Dance, R&B, Drum & Bass, House, UK Garage, Reggae, Hip Hop and all things in between to PORTOBELLO SUMMER FESTIVAL. Founded by the team who took Kiss FM from pirate to Plc, Mi-Soul is a music platform, broadcasting across London, Brighton, Manchester and Glasgow on DAB, online through its website mi-soul.com and via mobile phone apps. With a fine balance between old and new music, they pay homage to the past and provoke the future.

Jumpin Jack Frost

Brixton born Jumpin Jack Frost hit the DJ circuit at 18, mixing Funk, Hip Hop and original breakbeats and diving into the Acid House circuit via the Carwash nights in the late 80s with the likes of Grooverider, Bryan Gee, Fabio, Frost and Pete Stewart. Frost produced one of jungles most seminal anthems, the MOBO’s nominated Burial under the name Levictus and V and Philly Blunt was formed. Frost spent 5 years at KISS FM and adding a string of other world-class venues to his repertoire, such as The Viper Room in LA, Industry in Toronto and Twilo in New York. Frost has also remixed for the likes of Jamiroquai, Cath Coffey and Drizabone.

Shaq D

Shaq D joined the Mi-Soul family in 2014, he covers RnB, 80s Soul, Reggae, Funky House, Revival, Rare Groove, Hip-Hop, Garage, Jungle, and Ragga/Old Time Bashment. He routinely plays at fundraisers for several organisations including the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust and Meningitis Trust. Shaq D’s first big break into club nights came with his sound Black Avenue in the 90’s at London’s premier club night Silk City. To date one of his biggest achievements was being a part of an event which lasted over 5 years, Foolin’ Around which was hosted at many clubs throughout London.

Treble T is an experienced broadcaster, record producer, promoter, DJ and long-time member of the Rampage sound system. He hosts one of the biggest stages at Notting Hill Carnival.
